Remote Help & Support

When
you run into problems with your computer, one option
is to connect remotely to your computer to offer help
and support. This removes the problems when troubleshooting
technical problems over the phone. This option
can save
time rather than having to make a visit to the site.

Requirements
|
Windows
XP. Broadband Internet
Please email to pre-arrange a time for the remote help
session.

1.
Open the System Properties Dialog box which can be opened
from the control panel.
On the Remote Tab, make sure the 'Allow Remote Assistance
box is ticked

2.
Click Advanced and make sure 'Allow this computer to be controlled
remotely' is ticked.
Set the time invite can remain open to 5 hours.
Create The Invitation.

Click 'Start > Help and Support'

3.
Click 'Invite a friend to connect to your computer with Remote
Assistance'

4.
Click 'Invite someone to help you'

5.
Contact us by using email not Windows Messenger. Type in help@novay.co.uk

6.
Provide contact name and description of problem

7.
Set invitation to expire after 5 hours. Set a password which
you will have to tell us.

8.
The invite is now sent to your email program (e.g. outlook
express). Click Send
You will have to open your email program and click Send &
Receive to send us the invite.
